Honouring our Veterans on Anzac Day

With all the stress of COVID-19-induced isolation and loneliness – combined with the added pain of not being able to honour our veterans with the usual Anzac Day ceremonies, our wonderful staff came up with the idea of reaching out to our veterans via telephone.
Throughout Anzac Day, our
nurses on call took the time to call our veteran clients just to say hello and thank them for their service. We had many emotional, happy and, in some cases, thought-provoking conversations on what became an extremely positive and productive day.
We were delighted to be able to reach out to them on this very special day, especially given that many of them are isolated right now.
